At Cabinet Beatrix Weis – Physiothérapie & Ostéopathie Servette, all physiotherapy sessions are reimbursed according to the type of insurance: LAMal (illness), LAA (accident) or complementary RME / ASCA.
Our practice, located in the heart of the Servette district, is recognized by all Swiss insurance companies, making it quick and easy to take care of your needs.
Physiotherapy is covered by compulsory health insurance if the following criteria are met:
In certain cases – particularly for slowly progressing conditions – it is possible to exceed the 36 sessions (4 × 9). In such cases, the doctor must submit a detailed medical report to the insurance company to obtain authorization for extended coverage.
At Physio Servette, we support you in this process, to ensure continuity of care in line with LAMal requirements.
As with all medical services:
If physiotherapy follows an occupational or non-occupational accident:
Physio Servette sends its invoices directly to the insurance company concerned.
DI and military insurances also pay for physiotherapy sessions, when these are part of their recognized benefits (following long-term incapacity, damage to health or military service).
In this context, treatments carried out at Physio Servette – Cabinet Beatrix Weis are billed directly to the relevant insurance company, in accordance with current regulations.
We work with every patient to ensure that they are cared for correctly, quickly and appropriately, ensuring that the medical prescription is complete and that the file is transmitted without delay.
Supplementary health insurance may cover certain physiotherapy and related therapies performed at Physio Servette – Beatrix Weis, if they are not covered by basic health insurance (LAMal) or if they go beyond the scope of the medical prescription.
If you consult a physiotherapist without a doctor’s prescription, the sessions are not normally reimbursed by the KVG/LAMal.
Depending on your contract, your supplementary insurance may cover part of the costs in the category :
The terms and conditions vary from caisse to caisse: percentage reimbursed, annual ceiling, list of recognized therapists, etc.
Certain physiotherapy services provided with or without a prescription, and which fall outside the strict scope of medical physiotherapy, may be partially or fully covered by supplementary insurance. These services are frequently reimbursed:
Beatrix Weis is RME and ASCA certified, which means that many private insurance companies reimburse part of her supplementary benefits.
For optimum reimbursement, we recommend that you check the specific conditions of your contract directly with your insurer.
If you are insured abroad, we provide :
Reimbursed under medical prescription, up to 9 renewable sessions.
To ensure optimal organization and allow other patients to benefit from a slot, any appointment not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance will be billed.
Monday appointments must be cancelled by noon on Friday.
This rule applies to both physiotherapy and osteopathy sessions, in line with professional practice in Geneva’s medical and paramedical practices.
Osteopathy is widely recognized and reimbursed by most Swiss supplementary health insurance companies. The Cabinet Beatrix Weis – Physiothérapie & Ostéopathie Servette, located in the heart of Geneva’s Servette district, has been working for over 25 years with the main health insurance companies to ensure that patients receive clear, transparent treatment that complies with insurance requirements (RME / ASCA).
In Switzerland, osteopathy is not reimbursed by compulsory basic health insurance (LAMal).
Osteopathy sessions are therefore at the patient’s expense, unless the patient has supplementary “alternative/natural medicine” insurance.
That’s why so many patients in the Servette district choose our osteopathy and physiotherapy practice.
We are recognized by the RME and ASCA, which guarantees broad and easy reimbursement by the majority of supplementary insurance companies in Switzerland.
Depending on the contract, supplementary insurance covers :
To be reimbursed, a session must be performed by an osteopath:
Such is the case with Beatrix Weis – Osteopath D.O. CDS-GDK, RME & ASCA certified, which guarantees almost total compatibility with supplementary insurances.
Unlike physiotherapy:
Depending on your policy, your insurance may reimburse :
In the case of an occupational or non-occupational accident, things are different.
Accident insurance (LAA) may reimburse osteopathic treatment, but only in specific cases:
In all cases: contact your accident insurance company beforehand.
Our practice is happy to help patients clarify these procedures if they live in Servette or nearby districts (Charmilles, St-Jean, Petit-Saconnex, Meyrin, Châtelaine).
To ensure smooth reimbursement of your osteopathic treatment, we recommend the following procedure:
At Physio-Osteo-Servette – Beatrix Weis, all our invoices are compatible with Swiss supplementary insurances (RME / ASCA), making it easy for our patients in Servette, Charmilles, Saint-Jean, Petit-Saconnex, Meyrin, Chatelaine and Geneva to obtain their reimbursements.
